With the love of this music running through his veins, Tony began his career by playing bass guitar with a few local groups before joining his first male quartet, The Sharps, in April 2015 but this time singing bass. Tony stayed with them a little over three years, and in that time God blessed the group tremendously. February 2018, Tony came off the road. His brother and locally known doctor, Dr. Ronnie Lewis, was diagnosed with cancer and lost his fight in May 2018. Tony believed that his time singing was over before it really started..but God had another plan. In July 2020, Tony was ask to join a local trio and start singing again. All these roads were leading to his return to The Sharps. And in February 2021, exactly 3 years to the day since his departure, accepted the offer to rejoin the quartet. "I asked God to show me his plan, and to not let me be of any hindrance of it. I simply want to do his bidding in my life and I'm glad to be back again."
